Our

STORY

Almendras Morales was founded in the south of Spain in 1910 as an almonds producer for main traditional varieties: Marcona, Largueta and Valencia.

Located in Zamoranos (Córdoba), was the main reception point for almonds in the area, which were harvested and cracked by hand, and distributed throughout all Andalusia region.

Actually, the fourth generation of the Morales family, manages a fully mechanized industry where the cracking, calibration and blanching process are integrated. We offer a wide range of national varieties and import - mainly from the United States - a large quantity of American almonds.

Our

PRODUCTION PROCESS

IS BASED ON A VERTICAL INTEGRATION AND GOES THROUGH THE FOLLOWING STEPS:

hARVEST
We focus our effort to make the harvest of the almond monovarietal and clean, so the almonds that arrives at our facilities can be easily classified and treated by varieties.
reception
An analysis is made to the almonds that are received in our facilities, to know the humidity and temperature parameters that will determine the craking and blanching process.
craking and shelling
The almond craking and shelling process is totally mechanical, which allows us to obtain less damage in the fruit and better almond quality.
calibratION
With the calibration we achieve through a continuous screening system, an homogeneous almond, ready to be used.
PEELING
Through a soaking process at high temperatures, the almond skin is removed and the white colour remains.
